Killers! Killers! Killers are coming!
Time to get down and boogie, Man!
Disco's dead, but that won't stop
stupid teenagers from * CHOP *
losing a head after being axed
out to the prom! But, first . . .
a drunk or high or even virgin girl
must meet her topless doom
after getting it on in a van
or sexing it up in the locker room
because American slasher movies
from the Seventies and Eighties
are absolutely the worst!
at fleshing out roles of young ladies

I like the irony of “fleshing out”. “Topless doom” is a great expression. The presentation of * CHOP * was clever and funny, making it seem as if the poem itself was interrupted by the killer.

Thank you! I actually watched it for the first time recently. I was never inspired to until these sonnets came along. Disco music really doesn't do the genre any justice in the mood and suspense departments.

LOL You'd think they would have wised up and changed the formula into all the boys being lame and getting killed off. Then all the audience nerds could rejoice at the great bimbo filled finale.

If you a boob on the screen you knew it was going to die. If you saw teenagers or twenty-somethings having sex, they were going to die.
