This is very interesting--
The title with the variation of Hippocampus, which is something I've seen you do before, I believe, the word-morphing, drew me to the poem.
Then there's the issue of the "you," and the aggressively needful feminine voice--
It's not the voice of a person, so much as a kind of ghost of an interface, if that makes sense, a haunted and abandoned interface, meant to facilitate communication across a boundary. And the interface has become derelict, abandoned, haunted. Mad.
