Image for the poem infamous

infamous

the crowded room pushed in on me
faces got longer and smiles became sneers
a jester of nothing I laughed
I laugh so hard everyone stopped and stared
I froze caught in their glare

my soul tripped on land minds
open conversations lined with traps
so tell me more about yourself my dear
something so kind becomes cruel fast
in just a few minutes I am infamous

my life has been rough
and I'm not a liar
I shy from these rooms

my insanity echos in my skull
don't let them see you sweat
swallow razor blades
but don't let them eat your heart
shut up you're talking too much

what were you thinking believing you would fit?

the darkness will welcome you home
come into the dark
where no one cares what you've done
