Betray

You gave me yr hand
Shared footsteps in the sand
We walked together
Facing the hardest weather
With the wind in our face
Together we stood with grace
But hiding undercover
Was your love for another
You promised me your heart
But it had lied from the start
The flashy car with suit to fit
Dazzled you more than Just a bit
Your eyes were so easily turned
Did our flame for you even burn
Or was I just a stop gap
Till you met that right chap
I hoped and I prayed
Yet I was still betrayed
Now I face the weather alone
With tears flooding my home
I question your real worth
Our relationships false birth
You so easily disposed of us
You were always promiscuous
But I did hope and I did pray
My heart had hoped you'd  stay
For together I felt more
Than footsteps on the floor
You were my world, my life
And I hoped you'd be my wife
Yet it appears I was not worthy
As you chose to cheat on me
You chose to please another man
Who offered much more than I can
I couldnt  compete with those riches
Had no idea at first you had the itches
But scratch you did from day dot
I hope your happy with what you've got
For money can not offer what I gave
You can't take that shit to the grave
I would have loved you untill the end
You was my love and very best friend
Now I walked alone on the beach
Learning the lesson you chose to teach
What more could be done for you to stay
I've concluded now it's just in you to betray
