The Karma

The Karma

Daddy was a rolling stone…
Because of him 6 kids were born…
Five girls,
One boy… different mommas:
All with Daddies’ karma tacked on.
My how the girls pay,
Meeting Daddy in every new date,
And that poor son,
Daddy wasn’t a man,
So he couldn’t teach him how to be one…
None of them ever formed a bond,
But still,
They’ve got their Daddies’ Karma tacked on.
The girls are insecure,
Never learned to love…
Try as they may,
It’s so hard to trust…
They can’t keep a man,
Too damaged to understand,
Catch a few highs here & there,
But hard to the ground they land.
The lone son,
Tries his best to move on,
Tried his best to rebuild,
But the Karma feels too strong.
Doing his best to stay on track,
Do things the right way,
on his shoulders,
a burden not his own,
Causing him to stray.
So all in all,
The kids cling to their pride;
put their strong faces on,
But still, deep inside,
Something feels wrong,
Never quite right,
Because the Karmas tacked on,
And life for them is a brutal fight…
For them there’s only one way out,
But it’s a conscious commitment,
Because Daddy isn’t sorry,
But it requires their forgiveness…
For them to accept it for what it is,
But not carry it on…
Only then would they be rid of
the Karma tacked on.
