The Advice of Memes
The broadcasts,
meme after meme
promising worth
comes in the solitude
of days
Opportunities to find yourself,
without value from others
But maybe so many of us
were mistreated,
that this became a truth
to be imparted
for preservation
I still struggle
to see the worth
in all the lonely hours
of a populated planet,
isolated with little choice,
but to chronically masturbate
in the pursuit
to make sense of the self
Why do we spin this idea
that connection is weak
and that we all need a tweak
to enhance who we are?
Is it not really just an underhanded way
of illustrating that we are not enough
as we are?
Growth is important,
but does isolation
really prove to be
the antidote in such matters?
I would think the organic process
of one coming into their own
without the restrictions
would be far more advantageous
to achieving that "better"
that everyone refers to.
Or maybe, in my limited radar,
I am simply missing some point.

Thank you! I feel the same...I do value some down time, but not all the time. Our art depends on inspiration, and if one is sequestered from the world 24/7, how does one absorb that experience?

digging deeper to contend with that and try to see yourself in relation to that;
see under the skin of it;

Thank you. I see value in taking the time to assess one's own predicament, but I do think we develop with involvement and influence of others.

I have always admired your intellect on various issues that somehow benefit the message you are conveying in depth, Self-love has always been the cornerstone for any living being. That mental reliance that upholds the regality of our presence to gives credence to our characteristics.
There will be times when we question our fallacies as we carry the weight of our uncertainness, lose ourselves in our burdens just by being. In addition, self-preservation will always come into play, when we seek the truth. It is better to learn in the dark of oneself than talk of false bravado in the light.
Those seclusions are like a soothing balm to the soul and once we discern that knowledge, we can thrive no matter what, or where. We feel more comfortable after taking sabbaticals where you isolate your existence until we find common ground with self, in our truest nature we can appreciate when in the company of others.
A very mental engaging musing my tender poet, you have raised the bar with yor wise level of thinking. Enjoy the start of the workweek, and shine that beckon of light so those who are lost can find their way
