The Osprey's Call
Must the animal mind seek to possess all beauty
and at what cost?
Must desires consume all that is
and all that might have been?
A single osprey with clinched talons rises from the death of another.
His shriek carries all the Earth’s desires echoing through the red canyon.
“Yes,” calls the osprey, “yes!”
and at what cost?
Must desires consume all that is
and all that might have been?
A single osprey with clinched talons rises from the death of another.
His shriek carries all the Earth’s desires echoing through the red canyon.
“Yes,” calls the osprey, “yes!”
