Living in a
Procrastic Nation
with lots of problems
And I don't really
want to solve them
Got thousands of closets
in my head
Where all my
Spanish Cedar Boxes
go instead
Because I want
do more than survive
I want to strive
for my best
Pandora Life
I'll deal with the
Boxes when I'm dead
Avoidance is my virus
with no cure
Zeus tried twice
so I'm sure
That's okay with me
Don't want to deal
With all of
My tragedies
Pressing on
My arteries
Feels like I
Can't breathe
I want to stay fancy free
Ignorance is my fantasy

Never do today what you can do tomorrow. Procrastination nation. Fabulous. Totally get this. I’m the worst, but I’ve since turned it around and use it as a “that’s why you love me” character trait. (Full disclosure- that never works). This poem works splendidly. Love the Zeus and Hades relationships. H🌷

Thank you for your lovely words. Always great to read. I do put off lots of things. Like my side project I am currently working on. I'm just addicted to this site. I'm just going to enjoy this for the moment. I'll get back to it when I want to. Cause that's how I roll amiga! LOL

Yes!! I've had a lot of tragedies around me and in my family.
Procrastinating with heavy emotions not just physical things on a check list.
Just don't want to deal with so I put in a box. Not healthy but it's what I know. That is why writing is so important for me. Like taking a big exhale. LOL

I enjoyed the imagery and the rhythms, emphasized by the line breaks.
Nice intro--
Meter seems a bit off from the beginning, a combination of line breaks and accents. Could be a bit tighter, especially if it were read on-stage, and you wanted to conduct the energy to the crowd.

You're right. It could be tighter. I rushed it when I was writing. Something I do struggle with. Patience.

Content is good! Better than malcontent!
When some writers start lagging on feeding the DUP, I remind them with a nudge/bump!
