Like Nasir, I'm so sincere when I use my pen
Before I exercise my write, I stretch & I bend
Prior to hitting send, I proofread my works
The life of a poet transcends many perks
I work on my craft; seeking self-improvement
Plotting fore & aft of giving my testament
Made a covenant to be true through & through
Poeting 'bout acts along tracks of this Choo Choo
Inviting you to consume my food for thought
As I weave my web about ebbs we're caught
Many things taught have been debunked
Tirelessly climbing outta the place of the sunk
Prying open trunks so knowledge'll get out
Learning that muchs been impeded en route
Clout of the powers that be chose what would be
Then it's composed by those victors of history

Splendid message Damon. That closing line really tells like it is. Most history books will often be one sided or try to diminish the reality behind the story.
