RIDING A REAL BUCKING BRONCO

SADDLE

Like most boys
growing up I wanted
to be a cowboy, a
range rider, pilgrim going
from one water hole to another;
sleeping under the stars;
eating dried beef jerky, and
roping steers.
BUT
my greatest desire
was to ride a bucking bronco
in a rodeo. But it never
became a reality.
However, it came close
one night as I was in
a bar in the Fort Worth Stock Yard.
She was three sheets in the wind
and I was close behind. In the middle
of an extended conversation, after I
had told her about my desire to
ride a bucking bronco, she said,
"Cowboy, I can make that happen."
How, I asked, in wonder?
Later in her massive travel bus,
I found out as I rode over and
over her massive hips and powerful
and tight saddle, that had created new
moves in the art of bucking.
Finally, she consented to ride my
bucking pony...
A knock on the door and a voice
asked, "Is everything alright in there,
I see your bus rocking excessively?"
We both shouted, "YES! We're just
having a real rodeo with a couple
of real bucking broncos."
I can't wait until tomorrow night
when we'll share steer wrestling,
and the calf robbing.
My dream of being a cowboy
has come true. Do you need
a bronco rider?
