Image for the poem Moonflower

Moonflower

Her pale beauty haunts my heart and soul
but I fear she is far beyond my grasp
she'll make me a lunatic to the bone
but I am mesmerized my sight stuck fast

The tides within my blood ebb surge and roar
I fear her mother sun will burn and blind me
bur her pale light soothes as I soar to adore
to bloom her moonflower now, and now, I be.
