Calming The Instincts

The basic instincts of man
I try to tame and keep calm
but looking at her speeds
my pulse

Form the outset I picture
us linked is sexual fire
establishing her taste
in unclothed maleness

The predilection I sense
is her reticence in design
the carnal desires on low
focus established elsewhere

My excuse maybe weak
but the absence of intimacy
for so many years
hinders my logical faculties

In my imagination I see
her welcoming my urges
but reality says otherwise
a sinkhole in the making

Synergy what a beautiful sight
but it isn't a given
small steps maybe best policy
in a world of immediate gratification
