Spiderweb Cacoon

" He’d learned over time that any strong emotions on his part would make those, unsettling encounters intensify. Those same shadows had tormented him…” - Chasity Bowlin

His mind crafting spiderwebs
Delicate sensations feel comforting
Cocooning the vulnerable emotions
Mistakingly concealing what makes him human… those emotions

Idiosyncrasies kept close like secrets
Concealed behind silky threads
Cryptic conversations and distant affections  for her as well as himself
Empty connections hindered by sticky webs

Pain and discomfort an everyday trial
Complex agony rarely acknowledged
Allowing the cocoon to squeeze his feelings closer
His delusional fears poisoning his thoughts

Panic shifted to simple moments and inaccurate judgments
Toxic thinking binging catastrophic outcomes
Between life and what exists in his troubled mind
Existing in a suffocating spiderweb cocoon
