hurtful greed
darkness light be my guide
in through the black glimmer glow
insidious nature rises
within the bleak corridors of the mind
need is ravenous inside the horror show
show me your greed oh harbinger of guilt
inside dark faith your grievous error made
plead for naught it will do no good
chaste honesty is best
within the betrayal..fight
within truth's hallowed halls...find succor
deceive not yourself
oh sorrowful soul say your prayers
supplicant of sadness be relieved
darkened anger ravishes
confess the hurt done
and be done with it

“Insidious nature” is a neat phrase. There’s a decent accumulation of gothic imagery here, and a nicely pointed ending. I’d like to see you tell more of a specific story as the poem does feel more like a loose collection of images and phrases than anything, but you’ve got some good images nonetheless.

thank you graciously dearest Jack it is a bit disjointed sometimes that's how my feelings come leaving me a bit perplexed...I suppose I was trying to avoid this person is me trying not to be honest with myself... I deeply appreciate your critique...you inspired me today with your poem... it was surreal I could picture the whole scene wow....

That second stanza says a lot. Perhaps it's because some of us have been deceived at one point or another, we pray that the light show us the way or that we have a better understanding.
