Suffocation

     “Through hurtful arguments and agonizing misery
I wonder how she even stays with me,
      “Being my woman and I’m more than a lover
Regardless of the negativity-I still love her,

“As long as I’m a man and she’s considered by others sexy
Cheating on both our parts is always a possibility,
      “Consequences are no more important when receiving another’s love
That’s why this relationship is drowning in the mud,

      “Time to fall back-when we both didn’t have much
Sharing on the park bench a two-dollar lunch,
      “A bag of chips, soda and some penny sweets
But the real joy is when we got the chance to meet,

      “Seeing one another made each other’s day
A moment of sadness when we had to go our separate way,
      “No sex, just text and late-night calls
Along with passionate kisses in high school halls,

      “Months later-ditching school we knew we were wrong
All alone at her home as my finger-banging made her moan,
      “When ready she said please use a rubber
She wasn’t trying to become a teen mother,

      ‘Her tightness stretched the rubber to the limit
Moments later it bust, now raw dog I was all up in it,
      “The flesh on flesh feeling blew my young mind
And when I released she instantly start crying,

      “Realizing what just drastically happened
She said it will never again happen,
      “But it did-thru high school and thru college
Even into marriage where we expanded our sexual knowledge,

      “But now it’s a burning crashing plane
From arguments, cheating and tears falling down like rain,
      “Not only our hearts are not in the right place
But wasted time when we look in each other’s face”.
