Shiver


Quilt – a tattered representation of Maslow,
That buries me in a heap of listless dreams -
That become, vapors into nothingness,
Like the memories of my childhood
Having no meaning or seeming
Out of place in all of this.

Psychological needs?

This air penetrates my bones
Like thorns, in all of my epicenters.

The cold alone, in shades
Of off white – blue, breaking away
My eyes.

Newspaper rolls in tumbleweed.

Tragedies or ecstasies
are all the same to me.

Cowboys or Indians -
Presidents or paperboys.

None of it means anything.

My body shivers.

My physiology trembles.

At my appearance,
People seem
to quiver or shiver.
