some tiny hologram of a chip
programmed
to traverse the tissues
and nestle in her frontal lobe
to read her very important
thoughts
then,
some evil little shit

stooge
hovering over a monitor
listening in
waiting for her to slip up
and think
she'd like to shoot
the goddamned president
and then you need that chip
to cash a check
buy groceries
see the gynecologist

Author's Note
We were talking about Covid's current resurgence and some folks' resistance to getting the vaccine and somebody said their aunt had seen that the vaccine was the "mark of the beast" on a Facebook post, and that amazed me. And so I did an internet search, and there were several such images.

Was the Beast's earthly name "Bill Gates" ...? Last I read, he was the machiavellian mastermind behind infecting everyone with tracking chips via vaccines injections. Facebook and America have become scary places to visit these days.
