The Bad Guy
there was never a time
I didn't believe in my abilities
only times
people didn't believe in me
born to be a warrior
I always had a fighter's attitude
so when the queen told me I was nothing
I said "who the fuck do you think you are?"
that's when all the queen's hens chimed in
even a few peeps from the peanut gallery
they all ganged up to try to break me
but I didnt even slow
stayed silent as I rose
became an entity of my very own
that's when I realized
I am better than this
oh yes
I am better than this
bullshit
stuck around with my sword ready
was going through hard times
a breakup in real life
had a fling with the princess
we seemed inseparable
till I realized
she was just a harlot
who hopped and skipped
but not before ripping my heart out
so I took my blade
ran it into her stomach
then the knights came to her defence
I killed them all the only way I knew how
at the end of each line a wound
and when I looked around
saw the bodies on the ground
that's when I realized
I'm better than this
oh yes
I'm better than this
bullshit
went to the castle to kill the queen
she didn't even beg for her life
so I dropped the blade
guess you live and learn
said "fuck you!", then rode off into the sun
I'm fine with being the bad guy
i'll just write my story down
send it out
if only to keep the queen's scowl
my only regret
not being able to see that
which should hold as a warning
don't get too close
because it would be foolish to think
that I woudn't
