The Smallest Wish

In the moment you are enchanted
by a dream that is greater than life,
dandelions may find you--

Laying beneath the ash-tree--wondering
if they really come true.

You may find yourself
rowing into a painted ocean
for the chance to live in that moment
forever.

You've prepared almost everything for your journey
before stepping into the gallery.
The only thing you left behind
was your will.

And so you gaze at the dimensions
of your potential fate as it pertains
to one of many, yet none are as real
as the one that found you there.

The one you wrote late one night was
the passage to your rest.
