a murderous telling of misfortune
when the veil is rent, all is revealed...
insidious faces come out of the black
creators of havoc and nefarious deeds
harbingers of ill will, a bitter root
taste of their harvest while they bid you adieu
deep in darkness rage
creatures of nothing scourge mankind
children of scorn lest you forget
their blood lust chills the spine
a pyre of hate burns night and day
brightly their ire glows
reeking of failure the night ravages the light
choosing whomever it may devour
chaos is the victor
carnage his delight
spoiled carrion, humanities demise
a crucifixion of the damned
in the midnight's glare I watch
while terror flexes and releases its rolling energy
to the night's contempt it devours without mercy

I do not recall if I have dreamed a whole lot about vampires, but, a few nights ago I did. It started as just a regular sort of scene. Regular?
There was this old man. I think I was trying to help him. He was slow and prodding. Then suddenly he bit me. It didn't hurt and seemed to do no damage. A ravenous expression overtook his face. But he still couldn't move all that well.
But then... I looked at my hand. And a few of the fingers on my hand were nearly bitten off. There were gaping flesh wounds. (Like you could see to the bone and ripped flesh.). I was calm and observant.
Something to consider. (There is a technique by which you become present in a dream by trying to stare at your hand in the dream.)
Well... After this I went into the hallway. the building seemed like a former warehouse made into lofts.
Suddenly there were vampires running all around and they attacked me. I was on the ground being attacked.
Then... Somehow... I disappeared and reappeared at the window... Watching their confusion. I climbed out the window and there were things outside the window that I was able to use to start to climb on the roof.
It was quite a vivid dream.
I feel like I have an idea as to the meaning...
Nevertheless.... This was a graphic and engaging insight into the subject matter. I thoroughly enjoyed.
... Also, the song fits picture perfect!

good evening dearest Cipher thank you for sharing your dream with me like I said I feel we are interconnected as poets it doesn't surprise me we had similar thoughts of late... what is odd is that vampires are not something I write about usually and you don't dream of them usually it seems our muse was visiting us both...very frightening dream you had... I'm happy the song worked for you with this write💕 thank you again for reading and leaving your thoughts...

I enjoy the story of the vampire too this was odd I don't know where it came from really just a darkened tale that spilled forth... thank you for the read and comment I appreciate it💕
