In cultivating an alternative awareness that is other than our traditionally encultured Ego-based selfBullshit, a 'new world' of creativity awaits that
really
shows our self-absorbed whiney snivelling &/or contrived PositiveThinking EgoCrap for what it is(n't).....
this seems t'be what Indie is reaching for, g'odd bless her
it's called 'transcendence', which is what all Art is trying to do even when the artist is self-absorbedly clueless re: anything beyond showing-off for ego-strokes (daresay 'wankin?')....yknow'like one'a them paradox things-----
maybe tis impossible not 2be self-absorbed as ego never goes away, but a humbler reperspecting of Self & breaking from thee I-Me-My inherited 'view' of the world can open up a new world that's unimaginable to th'reg'lar Me-mind.

It's 'your own fault'(joke) dear....you inadvertently plunged headlong into a topic where many subconsciously fear to tread, which happens to be a pet-project of mine (& possibly a key factor in my 21st century pariahood[ha?]), namely the Paradoxymoronics of The Human Sense-of-Self
i hope my rantation on the the 'subject' was helpful. & IT all started during 8hrs of emergency heart surgery that i wasn't eXpected t'live thru in May,2000...which was a Change of Heart much 'beyond'(f'lack-of-a-betterword), just the mechanics of hearts & surgeries.
Drop by & say hello anytime...it'd be interesting to meet this Beautifully Tortured Indie...despite those 'dark' proclivities, y've got a perceptiveness than is demonstrated by none of the other self-proclaimed Dark Angels or Death Metal boogie-boys writin here in DU...

I don't mind confronting things that light a curiosity in me, such as the idea of self and reality. I always think it's better to know than not to know, even if there are things I wish I could unknow, after opening that door. Knowledge is power.

All Knowledge is illusion, & most of it very disinterpreted by brain & ego, (& of course, when brain-ego are pluralised to 'brainS' & 'egoS' is when shit hits the fan & all kinds of ultimately lethal unnecessary conflicts errupt)
accepting the above actually empowers 'knowledge' wit a flexibility & maneuverability that quite possibly brings us closer to a Real[er]Reality not possible thru our standard contrived believings. Belief seems to turn harmless illusion[s] into ugly,selfish,painful, concrete-coated Delusions.
