classic tears of a clown: Misery loves company

I'd sit and ponder
Knock on every door of my head
Until my thoughts are empty and hollow
I would wonder if I ever cross your mind
When you are all up in mine

Sometimes I just want to die
But thoughts of you wouldn't let me go
We Made up, broke up the next day and got together again
Went through all of that just to do it again

I'd say I'm leaving
Pack up my things and go
but you wouldn't follow
The ocean in your eyes always brought me back to your shore
What is love without some misery?
What is misery without some company?

We are two broken people
Happy bodies harbouring sad souls
It's the cracks and the scars in between
That always keep us together.

We represent love as some torture
We love the pain, the tears
And the contest that comes with who hits the hardest
It's not perfect but it works
We try and it fails
We know it only brings nothing but pain
But tell me, what other reason do we both prefer to stay?

When I need you,
You there.
To serve as a reminder of the pain and misery
Loneliness and cruelty of love
And I too would do the same

Who cares as long as we two hearts with one heartbeat
Two Souls with a single thought,
You don't make me better
You don't make every waking moment a dream
But you understand
And therefore make me believe

If this is misery,
I can always use your company
