Don't allow past mistakes to define you
Look ahead instead of in your rear view
They'll pigeonhole you if you allow them
Drowning you instead of letting you swim
Toss 'em to the back of your mind over time
Don't stay convicted like a felonious crime
At some time you have to remove them bars
That's the only way to heal real mental scars
