Bukowski Would Know

At least she could write
And her message was not so obvious
My car had been in the way
Parked in my own driveway
Hindering her
From delivering my mail

I parked my car there for the shade
Out of my respect for it
Her mail came half as often as usual
And at no exact hour
Not that it would make any difference
But I mention it anyway

Should I write back?
Maybe put it in the mail
Maybe attach it to my car
Parked quietly in the shade
And hope she notices
Or wait outside & hand it to her

Do I email the post office?
Go in & complain
Write them a letter
Take it to them
And have it sent registered mail
Ask about the stamp-duty

Or do I just let it fly?
Park my car under another tree
Leave my driveway clear
And my letter-box open
