Homeward Bound
Eyes of emerald
fathoms deep
that beckon or foil
my approach
Beautiful hands
of golden dark
turning pages
of sundry books
fingers that brush
the hair from my face
Open palms
with sinuous leads
chart a pathway
lined in jewels
luminescence
reserved for me
light your heart
exquisitely
exult my entry
Traveling home
ere long to arrive
engaging our destiny
proscribing our demise
fathoms deep
that beckon or foil
my approach
Beautiful hands
of golden dark
turning pages
of sundry books
fingers that brush
the hair from my face
Open palms
with sinuous leads
chart a pathway
lined in jewels
luminescence
reserved for me
light your heart
exquisitely
exult my entry
Traveling home
ere long to arrive
engaging our destiny
proscribing our demise

Re. Homeward Bound
Lyrically spoken, Dear Keilani🍷
Your stirring title caught my mind's-eye, the skill of your pen held me close, but it was the sheer grip of beautifully stirring emotion that touched and warmed my heart the most … then, dropped it with a "thud!"
Isn't it the pits when welcomeness turns cold?
Whosoever 'twas that said, "There's no beauty in sadness," never read this.
Your voice fluently speaks the wondrous language of poetry …
thank you ever-so warmly for sharing You with Me! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Dear K,
I enjoyed the wonderful imagery your poem exuded. Lots of energy and I think I had your avatar as the driving visual. It’s really pretty and added to your lovely write. Welcome to DUP. H🌷
