The rare moments of peace

Gentle sounds, cracking tapping,
Like rain drops falling on the rooftop.
Sounds flowing and splashing on the waves,
Accompanied by a mesmerizing backdrop.

My senses at ease and emotions in balance,
Listening to the harmony of everyday life.
Relaxed and comfortable in perfect serenity,
Released from all the personal strife.

Nothing can break my concentration,
Nobody can disrupt my repose.
Inner joy as bright as the morning sun,
Melting the ice from my heart, while my face glows.

I float through the forest of my thoughts,
Lighter and more radiant than before.
Finally revealing some positivity,
A whole new world, where nothing hurts me anymore.

Author's Note
One of the few moments where I was at peace with myself and my surroundings. Did I capture the experience on paper well enough?
