My Asylum

Admittance into the lair of madness,
The stench of death all around.
It engulfs my mind and soul,
But upon entering, I’m being crowned.

Your highness, welcome to your throne,
Please take your seat, address the crowd.
Speak of the wonders you’ve experienced,
Unveil your secrets behind the shroud.

Then a crown of light was placed upon my head,
Shocks and jitters rush through my brain.
I thank you for the position, warden.
You made me go insane.

A nightmare I woke up to last night. I stil see the warden's face under the clear and bright hospital light.
