perplexity's vision

 
the night rolled with haunting guilt
inside the sacred oath...regret
my tongue burned with apologies
I didn't mean

my soul linger in the darkness

dark glee within my bones
a specter shift and I lay witness to the cold
charcoal cried for tomorrow

my rapt attention on the living dead
zombies already lobotomized

I see the devil on the horizon

my mind spin with thoughts
finding no purchase in quicksand
