Apocalypse

Hold on, sweet girl
We don't have much time left.
I can't shield you from it,
But I can still be your shield.
For as long as I can breathe,
I will fight off the apocalypse.
And if the sun is blowing up,
I'll be your shade.

Author's Note
I just woke up from the worst dream of my life. I was outside a supermarket when an earthquake hit splitting the ground apart. Then a stranger was screaming that the sun was hurting them. It was then we started floating and hitting the ground repeatedly. The whole time this was happening, I had a small child with me. I've never seen her before, but I held on to her for dear life.
