Dont tell me you love me

Dont tell me you love me,

just because the butterflies
in my stomache still havent
found a place to rest

Nor because my nervousness
over you still has my palms
wet with sweat.

Dont tell me you love me

Simply because you enjoyed the walk
from the coffee shop to my apartment
on a starlit night when our conversation
was like sugar-cane to my brain.

You even told me that I was more
radiant than the moon herself,
As you gazed into my face as if
I was priceless to you,yet I was
Breathless over you.
Please,
Dont tell me you love me

After the music,the icecream,and
the laughter.
after you sang to me,and rubbed my back
after you rubbed my scalp with oil

After you begged to bathe me
then you submerged me in your kisses
Full of tenderness,till my insides
were all liquid and I was spilling
all over you.

Gushing like a poet in love at the mic
Pouring like a swollen river after the rain.
Wide open ..swimming in your ocean
Riding your tides, so free
till I could not feel my sides, just

Dont tell me you love me
Please dont ruin everything,
if we even have anything,besides
this gosmer thread of passion,
this memory of Lips and Heat
On skin with the window open

As passersby applauded my vocal skills
Considering you had me scaling octaves
Baby just please

Dont tell me you love me.

Dont tell me you love me,
because
I can not handle a word
as powerful as that,
see it means too much.
It carries too many assumptions
It forces me into a place of
Vulnerability,and in that place
your kisses are not as sweet,
the music becomes slightly off key
and my world becomes wildly stacatto.

So hold me, till the sunrises,
then slip away
leaving me with nothing but
A forehead kiss,and suttle aches
that whisper the passion we shared.
Just please.
Dont tell me you love me.
