I have a disabling
medical condition;
I belong in the category
of Cluster B Personality
Disorders, some of the most
discriminated against
and misunderstood
individuals in existence.
Described as a
“high-functioning”
[ masking ]
neurodivergent with
[ undiagnosed ]
“non-traditional”
[ quite / introverted ]
Borderline Personality Disorder.
It has taken me
years of relentless
cycling through
extremes to come
to this ubiquitous
self-conclusion.
I ask for your forgiveness

Mental illness is one of the most judged and misunderstood conditions in these modern times, which makes it ever sadder because it's supposed to be MODERN TIMES. I am very proud of how far you've come, Audrey. There is so much more to come! xo

Wow, thank you for this. I have to watch the video. I have been the same way through my life as well. Like so many things, took a long time to even be able to put a name to it, and once I was able to, it was such a sense of relief, suddenly. Just like, a great big..."Oh." had descended around me where before there had been years of questions and confusion, and all part of one great, ever hurting overarching question... "Why? What is this way, why am I like this? Confusion. Who am I? Rather than the person that I know is (to be), or could / should be, Why can I only see cracked images of other peoples potential perceptions of me?

Oh, the video is just a song that further expresses feelings of emptiness. To me, it seems obvious that I suffer from BPD, but I too have not been diagnosed. It’s frustrating, because it makes me continue to question myself. Maybe that’s a good thing in a way though. The more I research, the more I realize I may have a complex spectrum of co-occurring ailments. Maybe one day I’ll figure it out. I’m glad this has resounded with you, and appreciate you sharing.
