The Fires That Consume Us

The fires ignite easily within our tangled frames,
yours so smooth and warm.
We accept that our bodies’ highest purpose is fulfilled
as we are devoured
in the burning lusts
of one human
for another.
In your eyes I see the familiar refrain of surrender.
So beautiful is your sigh!

I have seen these eyes before.
Let us join our flesh as one
in the raging fire that consumes us!
