phantom pains

Keep it burning between your fingers.
Don’t wanna waste it, don’t want to fake the pain you can’t remember.
You can’t remember, but it sucked when it was your turn.
You can’t remember, but you keep it there in your hand, slowly letting it burn.
Agonizing flames of pain coming in waves,
it’s no wonder you have trouble with things.
It’s no wonder you’re incapable of having feelings.
It’s no wonder you turned out this way.
A walking corpse,
a rotting source,
a poisoned well,
a living nightmare,
a shadow of who you wanted to be.
Sorry, I know it’s hard to hear.
Sorry, I know it’s difficult swallowing those things.
I know it’s hard to say what you want to say.
