For J-Z

I’ve searched and searched
your manifold submissions to this site.
But I have never ever seen
in what you write:
that you have done what Alfred  Douglas,
Yeats, and many others deemed the poet’s job:
and that’s to sunder hearts
with honeyed words
displaying  rich invocatory and lyrical finesse,
to  make a woman tremble and
be breathless with desire,
and conjure wonder out of nothingness

Author's Note
What inspired this is watching J-Z continuing to write verse that, except for his sycophants who do not seem to have any sense of what constitutes good writing, that any reader (other than his family members) would be interested in because it is devoid of any feature that might make it interesting to a reader who expected to find poetry.
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.
