Fire

Eyes unto a path made of coal
Cinders beneath
Tanned bare feet
She will not turn away from the heat

Approaches the scald like nurture
Foremost will
And self defeating

But the thrill...
intense need
And readiness

For the body of stars
And deep pools for eyes
That shine a return to hers

I wish her love
I wish her a whole heart and completion by the spirit
I wish her a formidable burn that comes steady from within
And would extinguish itself
Before damaging her beauty
