A memory from long ago of Lee

Oh how I knew that day I’d be undone
if you,

star bright and supple in your Eastern dancer’s clothes
and in your liquid gait
along a Faire ringed Summered street,
your eyes ablaze,

would notice me
and noticing, would meet my awe filled gaze
with yours.

And so I thought it best to shy away.

And yet some boldness rising in my limbs
I never knew before
that day that I possessed
inspired me move towards you
intent to block your way
and bring us face to face.
impulsed,, constrained
to offer then to you
for all the mesmerizing beauty
of your form and grace
some low voiced words of  praise.

And so I did.

Ah how you smiled at this.

And ever since I’ve looked upon
that day as one that rouses me
within a quiet bliss.
