Moon rises high
Moon rises high
As the moon rises high, I just rest my weary head and smile, knowing that you'll soon be here to join me in a while
Your be here to hold me close, we're be together through the night, cuddling in a dreams embrace, you'll be my girl tonight
Laying with me in my bed, your head on my beating chest, me looking into your eyes, has dreams go they are the best
Every moment spent with you makes nighttime my favourite time, for throughout the hours of darkness, you are truly mine
So when the Sun slips away and the moon comes out to play, I'm at my happiest, because you will come and stay
You wrapped up in my love's embrace, we make love and greet the Sun, a few hours spent together, until another night is done
So I go from feeling loved and desired, whilst the moon is rising high, then the Sun comes into assendance, then I'm just left to sigh
Good bye, so long, my dream lover, now you're just memories in my head, and I'm just a crippled poet, who lays alone in bed
