the blue garden
swivel, twist sadness comes in
inside the gates of mistrust...clouds gather
I hate feelings they get in the way
make clear days blur
a sunshiny afternoon shaded with regret
do you yet hunger?
do your eyes also seek what you desire?
mine ache with the pain to connect
my soul reaches out on the winds...to be denied
I pull away shyly...rejected
it hurts to be this open
knowing the chance of being understood is unlikely
melancholy sways her hips
she is beautiful blue...my eyes mist
sister of mine even if she is my creation
her understanding comforts my heart
wearing a matching uniform and glued in place smile
halo slightly askew
hate and resentment muscle their way in
with looks of derision they take in our secret garden
this is where the little fairies gather gloom
turning grey into a shiny diamond of hope
catching the sunlight it reflects light in a dark place
I sigh and whisper leave
you won't trespass on this sacred haven
I'm a child of air and water
sentient beings guardian of the treasure i hold are the trees
shimmer then fade oh hate
humanity a mystery
in the shade of the mighty redwood I reside should you need me
