Bittersweet
Quietly emerging, to be more man than child
Laughing, singing, dancing free and wild
Simply understanding, what used to be unclear
Like feeling fear means what I fear ain't here
I need to be confident and sure
Choose a path that isn't circular
It's unavoidable, the bittersweet taste of the cure
Another new moon aglow, another late thoughtful night
One more chance to say I know I got this right
Sun shines in the morning, what did I do yesterday
Time that won't be back no matter what I say
I need to be confident and sure
Choose a path that isn't circular
It's unavoidable, the bittersweet taste of the cure
It's high noon I know, do I slip away and hide
Safely hidden from what eats me up inside
No blood, no glory, nobody hears a sound
Of decisions made that bring part of me down
I need to be confident and sure
Choose a path that isn't circular
It's unavoidable, the bittersweet taste of the cure
Laughing, singing, dancing free and wild
Simply understanding, what used to be unclear
Like feeling fear means what I fear ain't here
