WHEN I'M WITH YOU
SINGULAR
As the world spins
on unpredictable axes;
the blind pretend to see;
and truth has no
anchor that holds;
THANKFULLY
when I'm with you
I can't hear the war drums
on imminent or distant hills;
all I hear is the beating
of my heart anchored
in the security of your love.
WHEN
I'm with you I feel
honored, blessed, and complete;
I have no desire to see
if the grass is greener on
the other side of the fence.
WHEN
I'm with you I know I
am with a real, honest,
truthful, and amazing person,
not A ONE OF A KIND,
but the ONLY ONE, PERIOD!
When I'm with you your
voice, smile, kisses, eyes,
touch, passion, and realness
let me KNOW I have found
and been blessed far beyond
anything or anyone I deserve.
I am fully ALIVE when I'm
with you which is 24-7-365,
by physical and mental presence.

This is a straightforward but sweet love poem. I liked the war drums and “imminent or distant hills”.
