made up for lost time  

 
the night we were introduce
I've wrote poems about
how I felt about you
how fare out of my league you were
the beauty in your dark eyes
and the sparkled like the midnight sky
how I never met anyone like you
most of all I feel in love with you
these are things I've wrote in rhyme
in different ways over time
there is only so many way to write
I didn't think there would be another night
the celebration of our fist night
I wasn't wrong but wasn't right
that night was the first love high
one would think our first time
it wasn't bad I must say
it didn't measure up
like that introduction  night
nor was it found on our wedding
it was found two fold
fist the crushing blow

on our wedding day
you know why
that predator guy
I didn't want to get to deep
let you into hurt me
I didn't love him
I just thought he love me
you know the story completely
what happened to me
I have seen the depth of your love
how much you truly love me
25 years of marriage
waiting for me that love to come
now that moment is here
to find that greater high
the moment that did over come
our night of introduction
I loved you more that I realized
 I've not been that loving  wife
she made up for lost time
she found ways
to make me lose mind
she has made up for lost time
