Reality
No trees,
no sign of life.
Just a vast land of whiteness,
And a gloomy gray sky.
A dead tree stood alone on the top of a small hill.
What is going on?
I looked around, nothing seemed familiar.
Then I saw a girl on top of the small hill.
She wore a ruby red strapless dress,
unmistakeable in this sea of white.
She was on her knees, staring far out in the horizon.
I looked down at myself and saw a coal black strapless dress.
The last I remembered I was wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top.
My black curls hung at my side,
I couldn't move.
I just stood there unable to feel the cold snow under my bare feet.
I looked up and made eye-contact with the girl.
There was no sign of life in her eyes,
they were just pitch black holes digging into my eyes.
Move, I heard a chilling voice repeat in my head.
I didn't look away and neither did she.
My legs responded to the voice, and I appeared right in front of her.
Why am I here? I asked though my mouth didn't move.
I awoke, unable to catch my breath.
I looked around; I was in my room unable to see a thing except for my alarm clock that read four fifty.
It was only a dream. I stood up.
The dress was gone replaced by my shorts and tank top.
I turned on the light, and stared.
My arms had scars that spelled out something.
I smiled as my fingers ran through my warm red scars.
Don't just stare...Act.
The familiar chilling voice said.
I walked to my window, watching the big yellow moon covering the clear blue sky.
While I walked to the balcony, I stared at the horizon.
This was it, I stepped on top of the balcony looking into my room.
I jumped feeling the gravity pulling me down,
knowing that this feeling would never end.
