Crumbles

Crumbles

Standing in the devastation, the rubble of your heart is all around, shattered by the love you've lost, pieces strewn across the ground

You shake your head in disbelief, where did it go so wrong, hurt and pain surrounds you, heartbreak in every song

The sky that once was bright, is over cast and grey, rain falling constantly, at least they're hide my tears today

Will things ever get better, how do you begin to sort this mess, is there something you can do, to carry on through such distress

You rack your brain for the cause, was it something you said or done, you thought things were going great, you thought you'd found the one

At first you moulded together, it was like your hearts ran on the same beat, then next you were torn apart, love had lost the battle, love was in retreat

You look down on your shattered heart, what piece do you grab first, which part needs caring for, which part is hurt the worst

How quickly things seem to change, from being a King you're left so humble, when love leaves you broken, when you're castle starts to crumble
