Metropolitan Girl

The nights skyline
The sound of the city, the clubs
People walking, talking
A man on a bicycle goes riding by

Alive, the pulse of the city
Vibrant the heart dances to the rhythm
The aroma of a cosmopolitan city
The neon lights, the neon sounds

She walks, her long brunette hair hanging down
A dark green dress mixes with the white leather of her jacket
The heels of her boots highlight her profile
A feminine beauty, an actress amongst the crowds

The city lights glow for her, around her
A model, a vision of desire
A Muse to every painter, poet, musician
“I'd like to take her home that's understood” echos

A night that shines upon a metropolitan girl
A light that shines as the neon dances round
A memory etched, a thought that lingers
Words are written, as she exits the night

Woke this morning and the song The Model by Kraftwerk was spinning in my head.
