It was Lust

It was lust,
I know,
It might have ended,
Right then,
At the start,
Just a passing glance,
A flirt,
Nothing more,
Just a brief afternoon,
A quick fuck,
As the sun brightly lighted,
Our bed,
Nothing more,
I might have gone,
On my way,
Left you alone.

It was lust,
I know,
Seeing you after,
Still wet,
From our quickly done,
Shared,
Intertwining,
Now,
With the sunlight waning above.

It was lust,
I know,
Then you smiled,
Your eyes twinkling,
The next moment,
I stepped to the bed,
Kissed you,
And again,
Wrapped around each other,
Until the waining sun,
Dimmed to twilight.

It was lust,
I know,
Seeing you alone,
On our recently,
Twice shared bed,
The moonlight above,
You reached your hand,
And the next moment,
As lust,
Became more,
For the third time,
We shared.

It was lust,
I know,
That is how it started,
Now,
In dawn's light,
We saw,
That lust,
And,
Maybe,
More --
A future?
