I'M NOT WHAT/WHO I WRITE ABOUT

MISTAKE

I have noticed
with an increasing
frequency that
some readers of
poetry, mine included,
tend to place
the writers in the
categories they
writes about.
If the writer writes
about anger, he
must be an angry person;
if he writes about darkness
he must be on the dark side;
if she writes about lesbians
she must be one; If about
gay he must be gay. If
about murder the writer
must be homicidal. I'm
sure you get my drift.
YOU
might be who and what
you write about, which
is okay, BUT please don't
assign me an identity
based on my writings.
PLEASE remember I am,
like most writers, using
an imagination that works
most of the time. YES
imagination may, or
may not be a reality.
Only the writer knows!
