Chess as Communication
The silhouette of a ship’s sails
in the corner of my eye
As I am out to sea… Just to see
Destiny?
Mercurial moonshine
in a tipsy turvy line
that travels across time
With reason & rhyme
The space between
is communication
in this space
so full of space
* * *
Vibrations
over
U’s
sent
to
you
* * *
Communication
between
human & human
begins
as the language of aliens
the strangest of signs
delivered digital
across platforms
to frameworks of the mind – mental
And for reasons
I cannot explain
she sat across from me – over the membrane
as the chess pieces were already arranged
to me… it’s not about winning this game

(Its a long story… (it seems I have a lot of those:) I guess I delved into online dating. Such a strange thing. I know it is probably something you know about, as, I don’t know, 40% of couples met online. It is not really my thing, but somehow I guess I sort of tried it. As you might know by now, I have been an ultra private person, historically, so of course, I would typically be deterred by anything that requires self disclosure. But as you may also know, I am kind of crazy/someone told me like a fox :). So I find myself communicating on this strange platform, reflecting on philosophical concepts of inter-personal communication, and sharing the thing with my bestest friends :). (oh… and I sort of liked this picture, with the madman eyes/or maybe ninja eyes, that I took, whenever, as it seemed to fit with the write… I like the symmetry. I called the photo “Duality”. And, of course, I had to scribble my name on the wall in graffiti :).

Nobody likes to admit they use dating sites but they do work.
We are all connected 24/7 to some electronic media, what's the difference how you meet ? And yes you do have to disclose personal info. We all like to think of ourselves as private people ...

If one is going to venture into online dating, chess is the best avenue, imho. It highlights the intellect amd often mentality of the players, which is crucial in today's times.
My father taught all his children to play chess beginning around 4-6 years of age. We had many a conversation over long games as I grew older. It's where he shared his innate wisdom with me.
I enjoyed this vulnerability very much.

I completely agree. I think that you possibly get to know a person in a deeper and more profound way, depending on the medium and the manner in which the medium is employed, those which afford higher levels of creativity being the most conducive to in depth analysis and connectivity. I think certain mediums (within the technology umbrella) are extremely complex, psychologically speaking and are almost like art onto themselves... so fucking cool... and if it is the right person on the other side of the chess board... magic can certainly come about...

I had this vision... of art as crypto currency...
I know we have digital art... but this vision was way different than that...
I sort of want to write about it... but I have to get there in terms of where I am in the disclosure of my story, you might say...
I think you A would be someone who would perhaps dig that part of the story.

I love dating and I love chess. They do not feel very different. The energies of what and when to move where. The satisfaction at the end no matter who took the king, or in the gracious toppling of the Man, or in the stalemate of no losers. Thank you for sharing ! 💜♟️♟️💜
