Image for the poem Muggy

Discontented quiet, for I have no words to question
Or to answer the crow's cawing in the silence
Sitting in the dimness of a cloudy day
There are no words, just crows †
And thoughts buried in the pushed aside †
Just like shoveled snow †
Blackbirds for the day to mock †
The black thoughts I try the hide †
I'm the tranquil pools cast rock †
Vexed at heaven only knows †
And yet the feelings ride †
As grey to blackness grows †
Some days seem ordained that way †
As though thoughts themselves were acts of war and violence †
And sleep yet hours away, seems trouble's only cession
