INK

Darkness seeps in silently
thick as blood.
Black as ink,
slithers slowly
spreads it's claw tipped wings.

Tendrils and talons
seize hold of reason,
beguiling caresses
leave behind lesions.

Sharp fangs bite into hope,
silver tongue swallows the screams.
Deft paws shake apart faith,
strong jaws rip open dreams.

Sightless it watches
mindless it schemes,
timeless and ageless
consumes soon all things.
