I had a dream you loved me

I woke up in my bed, my heart pounding in my chest, I was searching for love inside my dream, to find a lover was my quest

To find someone to fill the hole, the gap within my heart, to make the sunshine rise again, I want a romance just to start

To share some special moments, two hearts to blend as one, entwined and moulded together, as a romance has begun

Holding hands and skin to skin, mesmerized by love sweet trance, is there someone who'd risk their heart, to give true love a chance

Is there someone like the broken poet, who searches their dreams at night, looking for that someone, to make their world seem right

Is she laying in the dark, writing poetry whilst on her phone, about how she's sad and hurting and like me she's all alone

Two poets separated by the void, both sharing the same wants and needs, both hoping true love will blossom, as with hope they plant their seeds

So in this dream you loved me, though I don't know who you are, so I send this out into the void, hoping it will travel really far

Far enough to find you, then like pieces of a puzzle we may fit, then our searching will be over and our passions will be lit

So tonight reach out for me love, draw me to your heart, let's bring each other happiness, let's let our romance start
